Backpack Boyz Wins WEEDCon Cup Best Dispensary, Best Hybrid Flower
On Thursday, Oct 17th, the WEEDCon Cup awards were held recognizing exceptional cannabis products and businesses in the cannabis industry.
Guests were treated to lunch by Chef Matt, drinks by CalyFX and special entertainment including music with Raven from Redbone and Blame Jane, Dreamworld Cirque and an exotic animal show.
Then came to moment everyone was waiting for – the WEEDCon Cup Awards.
This years Best Dispensary award went to Backpackboyz, Hollywood, a cannabis dispensary and brand well-known in the industry for its premium, exotic strains. As testimony to its quality brand, Backpack boyz won the 2024 WEEDCon Cup for Best Hybrid Flower for their “Lemon Cherry Gelato” and they won Best Hash Hole for their Lemon Cherry Zkittlez Double Barrel Cannon Hash Hole.
Best Indica Flower was awarded to Top Shelf Cultivation for its Whoa Si Whoa and Alluvium won first place for their Sunshine Daydream THCV flower.
Autumn Brands won Best Diamond Infused Preroll for their Purple Push Pop 10 pack,
Rollers Delight won Best Hybrid Infused preroll for their Lucky 7 mini THCA infused preroll pack and Pacific Stone won Best Indica Preroll for their Slims preroll pack
In the Extract category, Ember Valley won Best Concentrate for their Crossbow Live Rosin,
Dime Industries won Best Indica Vape for their Backberry OG and
Honey King won Best Sativa Vape for their Strawberry Pie all in one vape.
Jefa Brand won Best Hybrid Vape for their Dozicot vape cart.
In the Edibles category Tylers Treats won Best Gummy for their Pink Lemonade rosin gummys and Whoa Infused won Best Confection for their Strawberry Cookies and Cream 100mg square.
Best product went to Green Spectrum for their Blueberry Nano Pops and
It’s all About Choices won best new product for their Watermelon Space Spice pixie dust.
The next WEEDCon Expo will take place Feb. 21st 2025 and proceeds will benefit nonprofit Safety Harbor Kids.
WEEDCon Cup from days of yore
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — WPI — On Wednesday WeedCon productions announced dates for the 2019 WeedCon Cup Competition defining best of the best in cannabis flower, edibles, concentrates, topicals, dispensaries and packaging. The 2019 WeedCon Cup will take place at WeedCon West, a B2B networking expo on June 19th and 20th in Los Angeles, CA.
Last years competition included Best Indica Flower winner BareRoots Farms High Valley OG, Best Sativa Flower winner Cali Kush Farms for their Sumo Tangie and Best Hybrid Flower winner Los Angeles Kush for their Bloodwalker. Best Edible winners included Big Pete’s Treats for their Indica Chocolate Chip Cookie, District Edibles for their Sativa Cannabis Infused Cherry Cola Gummies and Kushy Punch for their hybrid Cannabis Infused Gummy Formula.
For Best Vape Cartridge, Los Angeles Kush won Best Indica Vape for their Blue Box Indica, Kushy Punch Kushy Vape took Best Sativa Cartridge and California Dab Company won Best Hybrid Vape Cartridge for their Trainwreck. Los Angeles Kush won Best Vape Battery and Best Product went to Papa & Barkley for their 3:1 Relief Balm. Best Dispensary went to Skunkmasters in Port Hueneme, CA.

Headwaters took 2nd Place for Best Sativa Flower – Cherry Vortex, EVO Gardens, Guava took 2nd Place Best Hybrid Flower and Cali Kush Farms won 3rd Place Best Hybrid Flower for their Banana Cherry Cookies.
In the Best Edible category Kiva Confections won 2nd Place Best Edible for their Terra Bites Chocolate Covered Blueberries and Fiddlers-Greens took 3rd Place for Best Edible with their OG Kush Raw Tincture. Chill the Highest Chocolate won 2nd Place Best Product for their Cannabis-Infused Cappuccino Crunch Milk Chocolate. Marys Medicinals won 3rd Place Best Product for their Transdermal Compound.
WeedCon West will include exhibitors, vendors, special entertainment, investors forum, speakers, networking luncheon and the WeedCon Cup awards. The evening will have a concert fundraiser supporting orphans, foster and homeless children’s education programs for nonprofit, Safety Harbor Kids.
